M&U Officer
The Maintenance and Utilization (M&U) Officer role is often assigned to the person in charge of maintaining the Maintenance Activity. They can setup prerequisite components for M&U processes, create Work Plans, Schedule Preventive Maintenance for the creation of Work Orders and monitor the progression of Work Orders for the maintenance of assets. This role can also Dispatch assets in addition to tracking utilization and warranty/service/subscription data for assets.

M&U Officer w/o Work Plans
Allows access to all of the update programs in the Maintenance and Utilization application except work plans. For use by users with broad functionality in the application.

M&U Work Order Officer
An individual with access to processes utilized by the the Work Order Officer role. This role is often assigned to the person in charge of maintaining the Maintenance Activity. This role will allow the user to setup prerequisite components for M&U processes, create Work Plans and monitor the progression of Work Orders for the maintenance of equipment. This role focuses on the use of Work Orders, managing data required to maintain a Maintenance Activity such as creating Maintenance Teams and managing Operators/Technicians.

M&U Work Order Technician
An individual with access to Sub Work Orders in the Work Order process. This role has different types with varied access to Work Orders.

- The ability to add attachements to WO's
- Modifying the WO State Code
- Updating the Equipment tab of the WO

- This role limits Work Order (WO) functionality with the following restrictions:
- Ability to "Open" or "Pending Close" a WO
- Editing specific fields within the Basic, Customer, Attachment(s), and Sub Work Order tabs

M&U Specialist
The Maintenance and Utilization (M&U) Specialist role has the ability to create and maintain Work Orders. The creation of Work Plans and Maintenance Teams are also included to support the Work Order process. Additionally, the user can maintain utilization data for assets. This role usually provides support to the M&U Officer.

M&U Specialist w/o Work Plan
The M&U Specialist w/o Work Plan role has the ability to maintain utilization data of assets but does not take part in the planning stage of Work Orders.

M&U Dispatch Officer
The Dispatch Officer role is assigned to the person in charge of all aspects of dispatching assets within a Maintenance Activity. They can setup prerequisite components for the Dispatch processes, create Dispatches and monitor/update their progression throughout the Dispatch process. This role can also request Work Orders and track Utilization for assets which are Returned from Dispatch.

M&U Dispatch Specialist
The Dispatch Specialist role has the ability to create and maintain Dispatches. They can setup various prerequisite components for Dispatch processes, create Dispatches and monitor/update their progression throughout the Dispatch process. This role can also request Work Orders and track Utilization for assets which are Returned from Dispatch. This role typically provides support to the Dispatch Officer.

M&U Data Inquiry
The Maintenance and Utilization (M&U) Data Inquiry role has the ability to find information that is important in the M&U processes. They will have access to all M&U data records; including asset information, work plans, work orders, warranties, service agreements, usage, and historical data. The use of inquiries allows this role to define specific search criteria and view data in real-time or export it to review and manipulate on their PC.

M&U Reports and Forms
The Maintenance and Utilization (M&U) Reports and Forms role has the ability to to export and view important information throughout the M&U process. DPAS reports utilize predefined searches and allow the resulting data to be extracted to the user’s PC for review in Microsoft Excel.

M&U Maintenance Readiness Officer
The Maintenance and Utilization (M&U) Maintenance Readiness Officer role is responsible for the progression of assets through the various stages of the M&U module.

M&U Utilities Technician
The M&U Utilities Technician role has the ability to implement the File Upload feature of Utilities function of M&U. They also maintain the Telematics, DLA Fuel, Vehicle Diagnostics, and Driver Behavior of assets within the Utilities function. This role functions independently, allowing the individual to load designated file types to the M&U module.

M&U Utilization Specialist
The M&U Utilization Specialist role has the ability to record and only record information within the Maintenance Asset Utilization record.

M&U FAST Manager
The M&U Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST) Manager role has the primary responsibility and ability to organize and administer FAST vehicles within the M&U module.
DPAS eLearning Course: DPAS1310
Warehouse Management of M&U
An individual with access to processes that interact with the DPAS Warehouse Management module, which are typically considered upper-level processes and are not usually granted to individuals who do not already hold Officer-level roles. The user will resolve Inbound Resolution issues, create Work Plan Associations and request Maintenance Movement from the associated Warehouse.

Maintenance Schedule Officer
The Maintenance Schedule Officer role is assigned to the person in charge of Work Plans. They can create, update, and delete Centralized Maintenance Schedule assignments. This role provides support to the M&U Officer.

Maintenance Director
The Maintenance Director role is assigned to the person overseeing the high-level tasks associated to the Maintenance Program and Maintenance Activity. This role provides support to the Maintenance Officer.

Maintenance Officer
The Maintenance Officer role is assigned to the person responsible for high-level tasks associated to the Maintenance Activity.
DPAS eLearning Course: DPAS8006
Information Owner
The Information Owner is responsible for managing the risks to personal information and business critical information held within the module. This role understands what information is held, what is added, what is removed, how information is moved, and who has access and why. This means making sure that information assets are properly protected and used to their highest value.
Catalog Manager
The Catalog Manager role is assigned to the person that performs all duties related to a site’s catalog. They create, update, and delete assets within the M&U module. This role provides support to the M&U Officer.
