System Change Details

DLMS

02041 - DLMS 832N Transaction ADC 1469 Changes

Module: DLMS
What Changed:
The Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS) 832N Catalog Data Support transaction is now able to support date/time and document number data.

The Originating Problem:
The DLMS 832N transactions previously sent by Contractor Inventory Control Points (CICP) users did not have a transactions reference number (document number) that could be used in 832N processing, including generation of 824R reject transactions in the case of suspended transactions.

Impact:
The addition of date/time and document number information will now allow CICP users to view this information in the DLMS Transactions viewer, and the new elements will now be included in the DLMS 824R Reject notification process.

Maintenance

01975 - Maintenance program stand alone catalog

Module: Maintenance
What Changed:

Maintenance is updated to handle a Maintenance and Utilization (MU) Only Catalog separate from the Property Accountability (PA) Catalog.

The Originating Problem:
Users required the ability to add MU-only assets without affecting the PA Catalog.

Impact:
A catalog can be created via implementation and that catalog can be assigned to the maintenance program. This allows MU-only Catalog access without having to give users edit access to the PA Catalog.

Materiel Management

02100 - Customer Requisition - Add Serial Number Selection in ICP

Module: Materiel Management
What Changed:
A Serial Number Selection grid is added in the Materiel Release Order (MRO) to select only specified serial number(s).  The serial numbers are displayed and then sent to the Warehouse in the 940R transaction.

Image

The Originating Problem:
There is no ability to select a specific serial number on an MRO.

Impact:
There is now the ability to select specific serial numbers when making an MRO.

02100 - Customer Requisition - Add Serial Number Selection in MRO for Substitution

Module: Materiel Management
What Changed:

A serial number selection grid is added in the Substitution Materiel Release Order (MRO) so users can select certain serial number(s). The serial numbers will be displayed and then sent to the warehouse in the 940R transaction.

The Originating Problem:
Users requested the ability to select a specific serial number on a Materiel Release Order.

Impact:
The users now have the ability to select specific serial numbers when making an order.

02104 - Incorporate "Mark For" capabilities within Materiel Mgmt. application

Module: Materiel Management
What Changed:

Materiel Management has added a new field to the Customer Requisition, Redistribution Order (RDO) and Disposal Release Order (DRO) screen where the user can enter in a Mark For Routing Identifying Code (RIC)/Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DoDAAC)/Military Assistance Program Address Code (MAPAC).  If that Mark For address is a DPAS Routing Identifying Code (RIC) or DoDAAC, the system will generate a Due In to that address and will also send an 856S to keep that DPAS warehouse informed of how the inventory is Marked For.

The Originating Problem:
USMC needs a way to send notifications to virtual warehouses to be used for certain inventory items.

Impact:
If the Mark For address is a DPAS RIC or DoDAAC, the address specified will receive a Due In and 856S Shipping Updates in addition to our normal processing. If the Mark For address is not a DPAS RIC or DoDAAC, the system will process the transaction as usual.

Property Accountability

01627 - Mass UIC to UIC - Phase 4.5

Module: Property Accountability
What Changed:

The user is able to update the site for a lead Unit Identification Code (UIC) or Active Duty Unit Identification Code (AUIC).  All assets and history related to the UIC is preserved.  All relevant accounting transactions are created.

Image

The Originating Problem:
Property records on an existing UIC require a Mass UIC to UIC transfer when a unit is re-designated and a new UIC is established.

Impact:
Realigning the Lead UIC would also realign the child UICs.

Warehouse

01900 - WM to MU Integration / COSIS Process

Module: Warehouse
01900 - WM to MU Integration /  COSIS Process

What Changed:
Purpose code is an optional attribute of all assets.
The connection between Maintenance and Warehouse is re-established to allow Care Of Supplies In Storage (COSIS) to be performed and tracked under a Maintenance Work Order.
The screens are modified to present the purpose code value, if available, of the asset.

The Originating Problem:
DPAS does not currently support segregating materiel in its Inventory Control Point (ICP) or Warehouse applications by Purpose Code.
Since the tech refresh of Maintenance, the bridge between Warehouse Management (WM) and Maintenance and Utilization (MU) has not worked.

Impact:
Purpose Code is added to the Search Criteria and Results grid(s).
The Purpose Code column is added to available and selected inventory inspection grids.
Purpose Code is added to the Associated Inventory pop up.
The QC is generated with the Purpose Code of the asset(s).
COSIS Inspections will generate QC in "R - Released".
The functionality to send the asset to Maintenance, get a Work Order generated and completed, and the asset to be update accordingly is restored.
History of the actions taken will be present for research purposes (what has happened to asset/work performed).

01900 - WM to MU Interface / Implement service to Materiel Release

Module: Warehouse
What Changed:
The connectivity between Warehouse and Maintenance, that was lost in the Tech Refresh, is restored. Work Orders can now be created from MRO and QC/Inspections.

The Originating Problem:
The connectivity between Warehouse and Maintenance was not being used. It was lost in the 2022 Tech Refresh.

Impact:
Work Orders can now be created from MRO and QC/Inspections.

02087 - Add Purpose Code / Warehouse Activity Report (ETL)

Module: Warehouse
02087 - Add Purpose Code / Warehouse Activity Report (ETL)

What Changed:
Purpose Code changes are added to the Warehouse Activity Report. Changes to the Purpose Code through Inventory Update now reflect in the Warehouse Activity Report.

The Originating Problem:
DPAS does not currently support segregating materiel in its Inventory Control Point (ICP) or Warehouse applications by Purpose Code.

Impact:
Purpose Code changes are tracked in the Warehouse Activity Report.

02087 - Add Purpose Code / Warehouse QC

Module: Warehouse
02087 - Add Purpose Code / Warehouse QC

What Changed:
Purpose Code is an optional attribute of any asset record.
Purpose Code is added to the grid for visibility.
Users, when conducting a Quality Control (QC) inspection, now have the ability to modify the purpose coded value assigned to an asset (if needed).

The Originating Problem:
DPAS does not currently support segregating materiel in its Inventory Control Point (ICP) or Warehouse applications by Purpose Code.

Impact:
Purpose Code has been added to the search criteria and results grid(s) throughout the Warehouse Management (WM) QC Process.
The user will have the option/ability to update/set the purpose code value while completing the QC process.

02100 - Warehouse MRO / Serial Nbr Selection

Module: Warehouse
02100 - Warehouse MRO - Serial Number (Nbr) Selection

What Changed:
The Warehouse Materiel Release Order (MRO) process has been modified to now restrict assets on an MRO by specific serial numbers when transmitted in the DLMS 940R from Inventory Control Point (ICP) processes (CR, DRO, RDO).

The Originating Problem:
DPAS does not currently support segregating materiel in its ICP or Warehouse applications by Purpose Code.
USMC has a requirement to allow the Item Managers to select specific assets (Serial Nbr/UII) for shipment.
Currently, DPAS provides for this information to be entered within the instruction area.

Impact:
Individual serial numbers for assets can now be selected within ICP processes and restricted for selection, release, and shipment within the Warehouse MRO program.

02104 - Warehouse MRO / Incorporate "Mark For" capabilities

Module: Warehouse
02104 - Incorporate "Mark For" capabilities within Warehouse Mgmt. application

What Changed:
The Warehouse Materiel Release Order (MRO) program is modified to allow the processing and entry of a "Mark For" when transmitted to the RSA via the DLMS 940R from ICP processes (CR, DRO, RDO). Mark For information has been added to the DD Form 1348.

The Originating Problem:
Incorporate "Mark For" capabilities within the Materiel and Warehouse Management applications.

Impact:
Mark-For Party is now processed on the DLMS 940R and available for manual entry within the Warehouse MRO process. The Mark-For Party information is also now included on the DD Form 1348 when printed.
