Catalog

01846 - SKO Catalog Improvements / SKO Export Functionality

Module: Catalog
What Changed:

The Sets Kits Outfits (SKO) Catalog is updated to Tech Refresh standards.

The Originating Problem:
SKO used old Legacy screens and functionality.

Impact:
When adding or updating an SKO Catalog, new drawers open for Stock Number Add. A drawer to add Components to the SKO Catalog (up to 10 at a time), and a Configure Section opens to add the rest of the data for the Stock Item.
The same occurs for the Line Item Number/Table of Authorized Materiel Control Number (LIN/TAMCN). LIN/TAMCNs added to the kits display under the Stock Number column with a hyperlink on the LIN/TAMCN ID. From the hyperlink, the components of the LIN/TAMCN are displayed. The user can include, exclude, add, edit, or delete the LIN/TAMCN.
There is also new functionality where the user can select one row or multiple rows in the components and move them up or down in the kit.

Enterprise

01872 - Upgrade Kendo and React Frameworks / Physical Inventory

Module: Enterprise
01872 - Upgrade Kendo and React Frameworks

What Changed:
The Kendo and React JavaScript frameworks are upgraded to the latest standards.

The Originating Problem:
The DPAS applications utilize Kendo and React JavaScript frameworks that need upgrading to the latest versions.
The upgrade of frameworks often introduces improvements to development capabilities which enable developers to deliver higher quality and more reliable software. It also prevents DPAS from operating on unsupported software that is a security violation.

Impact:
No impact is observable.

02029 - Phoenix Redis Upgrades

Module: Enterprise

02029 - Phoenix Redis Upgrades

What Changed:
DPAS has been modified to utilize Redis to improve performance and efficiency.
Redis is an open source in-memory data store, which is often used as a distributed cache.

The Originating Problem:
This is a technical upgrade of the application.

Impact:
No impact is observable.

02074 - Static Content Web App

Module: Enterprise
What Changed:

There is a new web application for shared, static web content.

The Originating Problem:
Removed the need for duplicate content, and increased version synchronization between the apps.

Impact:
Some of the updates come across to multiple microservices simultaneously, when opting in to the shared resources.

Maintenance

01961 - MU Data LIMS-EV Create MU Equipment New Views

Module: Maintenance

What Changed:
Multiple extracts are added to the Logistics Installations and Mission Support - Enterprise View (LIMS-EV) Advana export.

The Originating Problem:
The extracts were not available for the Advana export.

Impact:
There is now more data available for the Advana export.

Materiel Management

01937 - Update Accounting Transaction Inquiry roles to read only

Module: Materiel Management
What Changed:
The following roles are changed to read only for the Accounting Transaction Inquiry in the Inventory Control Point/Materiel Management (ICP/MM) module:
ALT - HQDA ICP AdministratorALT - PEO ICP Administrator, and ALT - ICP Administrator.

The Originating Problem:
The ALT - HQDA ICP AdministratorALT - PEO ICP Administrator, and ALT - ICP Administrator roles had Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) permissions.

Impact:
The Accounting Transaction Inquiry is a read only page. Therefore, all roles associated to the page now reflects that.

Property Accountability

01851 - PA Changes for Impounding

Module: Property Accountability
What Changed:

Impounded Assets in Maintenance and Utilization (M&U) are not updateable by various processes in Property Accountability (PA), and now correctly produce errors.

Image

The Originating Problem:
Assets that are under impound are not modifiable in the Property Book until they are released from impound.

Impact:
If someone attempts to modify an impounded asset, it effectively locks down by the major asset processes until it is released (Asset Disposition/Transfer/Update).

01935 - WRM Authorization Id browse in PA - Phase 1

Module: Property Accountability

What Changed:
The Authorization Identification (ID) Browse is added to the Property Accountability (PA) Receiving, Transfer, and Update processes.
The Asset Receiving Upload Template from the PA Asset Management process now has an Authorization ID column, when logged into an Accountable Unit Identification Code (Actbl UIC)/UIC that is Force Managed, and the Authorization Management (Auth Mgt) is set to Stock Number.
In Force Systems Management (FSM), stock numbers that are associated with Phrase Codes "U", "H," and "Y" are available in the display for the Mass Update Stock Number Browse.
To include these stock numbers, the configuration needs to be "on" in the Force Element Management process.

Image

The Originating Problem:
Currently we do not have way to determine how a piece of equipment is postured to support War Reserve Materiel (WRM) requirements on the property record.

Impact:
Authorization ID browse now displays when a UIC is Forced Managed by FSM, and the UIC's Auth Mgt is set to Stock Number.
Authorization Id’s are only returned if they contain Authorization details with either the Stock Number or the Authorized Child Stock Number being received, transferred, or updated.
